YO!creations was started in 1998 by David Burgett and Chris Pieri as an Internet Idea Incubator. Their first major project was VGuest.com -- a web site started in 1999 that featured albums of photographs taken by professional photography studios. The name came from the term "Virtual Guest"...the idea that website visitors would become virtual guests at the event they were viewing.

VGuest.com started out small with black dog imageworks, a local (Kansas City) studio owned by Doug Hesse. Initially, VGuest.com was only designed to work with black dog's images...but soon Mark Rowlands of North Star imagery asked if he could display his work as well. Since Mark did an excellent job of shooting David's own wedding...how could we refuse? (Interesting tidbit: You can still see the images Mark shot at David's wedding on the ReprintOrders.com website. Go to the samples page and view the second sample!)

Before long, a couple of other studios expressed interest and David and Chris began to reevaluate the purpose of the site. Though the site had started out targeted towards the visitors, it was quickly becoming apparent that the real service we were providing (and people were willing to pay for!) was to the studios themselves. VGuest.com was rebranded ReprintOrders.com and is still growing after more than seven years with studios from Florida to Washington to Hawaii!

Through the course of building ReprintOrders.com (RO) and other YO! ideas, numerous side projects have arisen...mostly out of a need to further enhance RO. These side projects are usually related to either web development or the management of web development. Two of these projects (YO! script and YO! Issue Tracker) are finally going public after years of internal development and use.

David and Chris are both married and live in the Kansas City area. Their philosophy will always mandate that priorities are maintained: family and friends come first, business second.

David is a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (.Net) and an MS Certificated DBA. He also holds various certifications related to web development, Java programming, and MS Office development. Has has authored or co-authored several books on Microsoft development technology and has written articles for popular outlets such as MSDN Magazine and Builder.com.

Chris has worked for over 15 years in the Accounting and Management world, overseeing all aspects of business management from Accounts Payable/Receivable, Inventory Control, Personnel Management, and Marketing. He currently serves as Director of Operations for an international company based in the Kansas City area.
